The OnePlus 5T is off to a blazing start, so it seems. Although OnePlus hasn’t specified a number, the company has announced that the OnePlus 5T has broken launch day sales record – in just 6 hours the OnePlus 5T has become the company’s fastest selling device. The OnePlus 5T went on sale for the first time on November 21. In India, the OnePlus 5T was also made available for buying on November 21 – via early access – and is now listed as out of stock on Amazon India. The OnePlus 5T will be available for buying on the platform again on November 24.
Sales of the OnePlus 5T began yesterday and in just 6 hours it broke the company’s launch day sales record. It’s safe to say that the $500 / €500 flagship was well-received.
The 5T 64GB model ships immediately in most regions, the 128GB model will take a few days. This is not the case in North America – both the US and Canadian shops report 8 days shipping delay for both versions.
The OnePlus 5T 64GB seems to be a hot seller in India where only the 64GB model is available right now. Note that it’s limited to 1 per customer.
The OnePlus 5T, that has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 32,999, brings in some useful upgrades over the company’s (now) last-generation flagship phone, the OnePlus 5. It comes with a 6.01-inch full-HD Optic AMOLED display with an unusual aspect ratio of 18:9 which invariably means that it’s a near bezel-less phone. The OnePlus 5T houses a new dual camera system wherein the secondary telephoto lens of the OnePlus 5 has been switched with a standard lens with a larger f/1.7 aperture to aid in low-light photography. Elsewhere, the OnePlus 5T also supports a face unlock feature akin to the iPhone X without deploying additional tech. The OnePlus 5T also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
